Leah is in the hospital!

Leah was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday for dehydration. They gave her IV fluids and put in a feeding tube. Everything was going well. Then at 12:30 she had a tonic clonic seizure, then again at 1:30 and again at 2:30. They then gave her rescue meds and she fell asleep until 9:00 am. At that time she woke up into a seizure and didn't come out of it. Her heart rate was very high and she wasn't breathing well. The rescue meds weren't working so they life flighted her to PCMC. She was then put in ICU. She continued to seize. They pumped her full of many seizure medications. At this time her breathing was getting worse and they told me they were going to have to inti bate her soon. I was very upset and Chad was in Texas getting ready to catch the next flight home. Soon after, all of a sudden her seizures stopped and her breathing was slowly getting better. She fell and asleep and her vitals stayed good. Thursday we were just waiting for her to wake up with no seizures. She did and her vitals stayed good. She got out of ICU today and now she is in the neuro trauma unit. She is looking a little better. She will be having an MRI and more test ran.

She is one amazing little girl. She is a fighter, she never gave up! Her therapist said "she is a warrior princess", I agree.

I will keep everyone updated through her blog. Thanks to all our friends and family for all the love and support.
